How to strip DRM off protected music and video

The following step-by-step tutorial shows you how to remove DRM from iTunes music and video, remove DRM from protected WMA, WMV, ASF, convert iTunes DRM music M4P to MP3, convert iTunes DRM video M4V to MP4, convert protected WMA to MP3, convert protected WMV to MP4, etc using DRM Media Converter ( download link ).

Step 1. Add DRM Files

There are two ways to import files into the program:

a. Click the Add button to browse your computer’s folders and select the file(s) you want, or

b. Drag and drop the files you want directly from your desktop into the main window and remember, you can import multiple files at once.

Step 2. Choose Output Format and Adjust Audio/Video Settings

By clicking the “Audio files to:” or “Video files to:” box, you can select the output format for the source files. For example, if you want to convert DRM files for your PSP, you can choose “Game Hardware” from the profile category list and choose “PSP Video MPEG-4(*.mp4) as the output format.

If you have specific needs concerning video or audio quality, click the Settings button at the bottom to select the output format you want. Then, you can set the video parameters (resolution, frame rate, encoder, and bit rate) or audio parameters (such as sample rate, channel, encoder and bit rate).

Step 3. Convert DRM Files

After a short setup, click the “Start” button to begin the conversion process, then sit back and enjoy your newly freed music and movie files.

Customize your conversion using the three tabs located in the Options menu:

a. From the General tab, specify your preferred destination folder for saving output files.

b. From the DRM Finder tab, customize search parameters for the DRM Finder tool.

c. From the Processing tab, set the program to perform up to five parallel conversions.

Click drop- down menus of “Profile” to choose the format you want and click drop-down menu of “Output” to set the destination folder for saving output files.

Step 3. Video clip and edit (optional)

Click the scissors button on the toolbar to clip videos. Set the start time & end time to get multiple clips as you like.

Click the edit button to edit video and you can crop the frame size, add effects, add picture/text watermark, or edit subtitle.

Step 4. Start to convert

After finishing all the necessary settings and editing, you can click the start button to start converting iTunes music/video files. You can preview the conversion progress from the progress bar.
